Resume function will be cleared when the STOP is pressed on the STOP mode. Settings remain in memory even if you remove the disc from the player or switch off the player. If you load a disc that has its settings memorized, Latest Stop Position is automatically recalled. This player does not memorize if you switch off the player when a DVD or title menu appears on the TV screen. The last scene memory function will be cleared when the STOP is pressed on the STOP mode. slow/scan rev fwd Screen Saver The screen saver is useful to prevent your display from becoming damaged. The screen saver picture appears when you leave the DVD player in stop mode for about 5 minutes. Automatic power off function After the Screen Saver has been engaged for about 5 minutes, the DVD player will automatically turn itself off. HDCD Playback HDCD is a process that increases the fidelity of both specially encoded HDCD discs and standard CD audio discs. When an HDCD-encoded disc is playing, the special decoder is automatically activated and the HDCD Indicator lights. To enjoy the benefits of HDCD, your DVD Player must be connected to your A/V receiver via the Analog Audio Outputs. However, the DVD player plays back sound during fast forward or fast reverse playback of audio CDs. The DVD player provides four (4) scan speeds (DVD) or three (3) scan speeds (CD). The DVD player can not play back audio CDs in slow motion.
