Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.
[. . . ] These operating instructions are a publication by Voltcraft®, Lindenweg 15, D-92242 Hirschau/Germany, Phone +49 180/586 582 7 (www. They contain important information for putting it into service and operating it. This should be noted also when this product is passed on to a third party. Therefore look after these operating instructions for future reference! [. . . ] In STORE mode: Each time this is pressed, the automatic measurement interval is increased by one second (S). The "MAXMIN -" and "REL +" buttons decrease (-) or increase (+) the parameter each time they are pressed. The "STORE <" and "HOLD >" buttons move the decimal place back and forward, respectively. The setup menu is structured in the following order: LOW Limit setting for the lower level; if the measurement goes below this value, a beep sounds. Limit setting for the upper level; if the measurement goes above this value, a beep sounds. Default = 10 minutes Signal tone setting for continuity test: 1 = continuous beep and symbol display OFF = no beep, symbol blinks; default = 1 Switch-off time setting for display backlight in seconds 10 / 20 / 30 / OFF; default = 10 "Bar graph": Bar graph display setting 1 = Zero point is in the middle (only for DC and temperature) 2 = Zero point is at the left edge Default = 1 To save the settings, confirm each parameter change by pressing the EXIT button!Do not touch circuits or parts of circuits if there could be voltages higher than 25 VACrms or 35 VDC in them. Replace defective test leads immediately with new ones; do not use defective test leads! You can switch the display from 40, 000 counts to 4000 counts in the following way: Hold down the blue button while turning on the device. This function is automatically deactivated when the device is shut off. Pour mesurer les tensions continues, procédez comme suit : Connect the black test lead to the COM jack and the red test lead to the V jack so that they are lying flat on the measuring device. If a minus sign ("-") appears in front of the measured value for a DC voltage, the measured voltage is negative (or the test leads are reversed). Do not touch circuits or parts of circuits if there could be voltages higher than 25 VACrms or 35 VDC in them. proceed as follows to measure the frequency: · Connect the black test lead to the COM jack and the red test lead to the V/Hz jack so that they are lying flat on the measuring device. To measure the duty cycle, press the blue button again until "%" appears on the display. Do not touch circuits or parts of circuits if there could be voltages higher than 25 VACrms or 35 VDC in them!Temperature measurements can only be performed with the input jacks "V°C" = plus and "COM" = minus and only using type K thermocouple probes. Insert the plugs from the supplied type K thermocouple probe into the "V°C" and "COM" jacks, ensuring correct polarity; the temperature is now shown on the main display (12) in °C (= Celsius). You can switch the temperature units from Celsius to Fahrenheit by pressing the blue button. The supplied wire thermocouple probe can be used to measure temperatures of up to +230°C. Using an optional adapter, other temperature probes with standard miniconnectors can be connected to the DMM. Both measuring ranges are provided with fuses and thus protected against overload. [. . . ] Repairs may only be performed by specialists familiar with the hazards involved and the relevant regulations. If the low battery symbol appears on the display, the battery must be replaced immediately. proceed as follows to replace the battery: · Disconnect your measuring device from the measurement circuit. Remove all test leads and the adapter from the measuring device and turn off. [. . . ]
