Dear Customer,
Thank you for purchasing this Toshiba TV. [. . . ] Press PIP CH y z to choose the program you want to be displayed as a sub-picture. If the V-CHIP feature is active and you try to watch a TV program that exceeds the rating limits you 24 set, the TV will enter into the program block mode. For more information, see the "Connecting your TV" on page 7. Press SOURCE repeatedly to select the input source (TV, VIDEO 1, VIDEO 2 or VIDEO 3) for the sub-picture. ColorStream HD1 and HD2 can not be selected.

Note: · PIP/double-window can not be turned on when the ColorStream input (HD1 or HD2) is being viewed. · You can not display the signal sources input through the ANT-2 terminal as a subpicture.
NOTICE OF POSSIBLE ADVERSE EFFECTS ON TV PICTURE TUBE
Avoid displaying stationary images on your TV screen for extended periods of time. Fixed (non-moving) images (such as still PIP/POP windows or black/gray bars in wide-screen picture or PIP/POP formats) can become permanently engrained in the picture tube. This type of damage is NOT COVERED BY YOUR WARRANTY because it is the result of misuse. See item 32 on page 4.

While the above menu is on the screen, you can select the desired signal input source by pressing the corresponding number button (0-3). To turn PIP off: Press PIP once or twice, depending on the size of the sub-picture screen you selected.

Switching the main and sub-pictures Press SWAP while you are using the PIP feature to switch the main and sub-pictures. The main and sub-pictures will switch each time you press the SWAP button.

Using the Multi-Window feature
The Multi-Window feature provides two functions. The Favorite function (9-picture multi-search) scans the channels you programmed in the TV memory using the FAVORITE CH function. The Strobe function is convenient when watching a quickly moving picture such as a sports program.

To cancel the favorite function:
Press FAVORITE once or twice.
Note: · When the main picture source is ColorStream, the FAVORITE and STROBE buttons are not available. · If the V-CHIP feature is active and you try to scan a TV program that exceeds the rating limits you set, a black window will appear with an "X" in the upper right corner. However, during Favorite channel scanning, the V-CHIP may not block channels properly
