Using the V-Chip (parental control) feature
The V-Chip feature is available only for the U. S. You can prevent others from viewing certain programs or channels by blocking them using the V-Chip feature.

Selecting a PIN code
Before you can block programs and channels, you must select a personal identification number (PIN) code. The PIN code you select prevents others from changing the rating limits you set. Press or to highlight V-CHIP.

Blocking programs by ratings
The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) uses a rating system to qualify motion picture content. Television broadcasters employ a rating system to qualify the content of television programs, as well. The MPAA, Youth TV, and TV ratings work with the V-Chip feature and allow you to block programs according to the rating limits you set.
