These operating and installation instruc tions describe various models which are distinguished by their selectable spin speeds. Time Signal The acoustic signal signals the start and end of the programme, operating faults and malfunctions. Childproof lock / Appliance lock You can safeguard your washing machine to prevent any unintentional changes to the selected functions and to the pro gramme sequence. An active childproof lock / appliance lock has the following effects: - If the appliance is switched off and then on again, a running programme continues at the point at which tt was interrupted. - The washing machine door remains locked when the wash cycle is com plete. - When the appliance has been swit ched on and the washing machine door closed, all operating elements are disabled and the washing machine door is locked. Activate the childproof lock / appliance lock q Press the Extras" button. q Activate the childproof lock / appliance lock by pressing the Childproof lock +" button. i When the childproof lock / appliance lock has been activated, the $" symbol is indicated on the display panel after the programme has started. 31 Temporarily deactivate childproof lock / appliance lock q Press and hold down the start/stop" button (4 seconds) until the start/stop" illuminated ring flashes. [. . . ] Water inlet hose Warning Operate the washing machine with cold drinking water only. Do not connect to the mixer tap of an unpressurised hot water apparatus. The water inlet hose must not be - kinked or crushed, - modified or severed (strength is no lon ger guaranteed). Check the mains water pressure: - The water pressure should be bet ween 1 and 10 bars (when the tap is turned on, at least 8 litres of water is discharged per minute). [. . . ]
