In USB mode: · MSDC: N/A · PTP: Press to select the previous image in This Image submenu Left/Macro Camera Buttons English 8 Introduction The Scene Button The camera is equipped with a convenient SCENE button that takes you to the Scene Menu where you can scroll between different modes and choose different scene options. Use the Up/Down navigation buttons to scroll and use the OK button to select. Frame the shot on the LCD screen and press the Shutter button halfway. When a camera steady warning icon appears, hold the camera as still as possible, as a longer exposure time (more than 1/30 second) is required. Anti-Shake Function This function is available in Auto capture mode. Press the OK button to enable the Anti-Shake function, and press again to disable it. An Anti-Shake icon displays on the LCD screen when the function is activated. Taking your First Photo Getting Started 21 Using Macro Mode Macro mode is designed for close-up photography and can capture all detail even when your subject is very close to the camera. 35-70cm(Tele) Setting the Flash Mode You can choose from 4 flash modes to suit various lighting conditions. Press the Up/Flash /Delete navigation button to scroll through the four modes on the LCD screen. The flash setting remains the same for subsequent photos until you change it as described above. Anti Red-eye: The flash fires twice so as to reduce the red-eye effect. Using the Zoom in/out Function The camera comes equipped with 3x optical zoom and 5x digital zoom that allows you to zoom in on your subject. Taking your First Photo English Macro mode range: 10-70cm(Wide) 22 Getting Started Using the Self-timer and Burst Photography The camera comes equipped with a self-timer which allows you to take photos after a pre-defined delay. The burst photography feature allows you to take multiple consecutive photos by pressing and holding the Shutter button. [. . . ] The camera features 16 MB internal memory but you can also insert an SD/SDHC card (See "Inserting an SD/SDHC Memory Card" on page 17 for more details). 2 options are available: · AUTO (default): When selected, the camera chooses the storage medium automatically.
