Please read these instructions for information about using the product correctly and safely. To ensure successful recordings, we recommend that you test the record function and volume before use. EN Introduction · The contents of this document may be changed in the future without advanced notice. [. . . ] Files with large capacities and long recording times can be split so that they are easier to manage and edit. 3 Pressthe+buttontoselect [Start]andthenpresstheOK button. · [Dividing!] will be displayed and file splitting will start. Splitting is completed when [Filedivide completed] is displayed. +-button OK button 4 Menu setting method 1 SelectthePCMfileyouwantto split, playorfast-forwardthefile andstopatwhereyouwantto splitthefile. · Files with the recording mode of [PCM48k] or [PCM44. 1k] are files recorded in the PCM format. 2 Whilefiledisplayappears, select [File Divide]inthe[File Menu]in themenu. · Please refer to P. 44, P. 45 for details on menu settings. Notes · The file split cannot be done when the file list is displayed. · The recorder cannot split files when the number of files in the folder exceeds 998. · After a file has been split, the original file will be renamed [Filename_1. WAV] and the new file will be named [Filename_ 2. WAV] · If a file has an extremely short recording time, it may not be split even if it is a PCM file. This may damage the data. EN 59 Menu setting method Timer Recording [Timer Rec] Timer recording is the function to execute a recording at a set time. You can program up to three desired settings (Preset 1-3) ([On/Off], [Day], [Time], [Rec Mode], [Folder], and [MicSense]). 3 PresstheOKbutton. 4 Press the +or-button to select theitemtoset. Select [EveryWeek] and press the OK button to move to the selection of [Day]. 2 Press the OK button to exit [Day] selection. 2 Pressthe+or-buttontoselecta presetnumber. · Press the 9 button to show the [Day] and the [Time] set for the preset number the cursor is pointing at. 60 Menu setting method [Time]setting: 1 Press the 9 or 0 button to select "Hour"and "Minute" in the [StartTime] and "Hour" and "Minute" in the [StopTime]. [RecMode]setting: Regardless of the regular [Rec Mode] ( P. 47), timer recording will start in a set recording mode. [Folder]setting: 1 Press the + or ­ button to select the destination to save to (Memory) (For DM-550) 2 Press the OK or 9 button to move to the [Folder] setting. 3 Press the + or ­ button to select the destination to save to (Folder). [MicSense]setting: Regardless of the recorder's microphone sensitivity setting ( P. 47), timer recording will start at a set microphone sensitivity. 1 Press the + or ­ button to select from [High], [Middle], and [Low].
