Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Wash the glass carafe and the filter holder in hot water with a small amount of washing-up liquid. We recommend that you brew 2 times with only water before using the appliance. Let the water run through, disconnect the appliance and pour out the water. [. . . ] This means that the glass carafe can be shortly taken off the coffee maker during brewing, but it is important to put back the glass carafe on the heating plate within max 1 minute. Auto-stop function The coffee maker is equipped with an auto-stop function that automatically switches off the appliance after 2 hours. Cleaning Switch off the appliance, unplug and let the coffee maker cool off before cleaning. Remove the coffee holder if still in the tunnel and clean the appliance with a water dampened cloth and wipe with a dry, soft cloth. Loose parts (glass carafe and filter holder) shall be washed with washing-up liquid (rinse carefully) and wipe. The appliance must not be immersed into water or kept under running water. If the coffee maker is used in places where this is a risk of frost (caravans, summer cottagesetc. )makesuretoemptythewatertankCOMPLETELY(turntheapplianceupside down) if the appliance is left and not in use. This will also prevent damage to the coffee maker in case of any remaining water freezing. Remember always to empty the coffee maker if it shall not be used for a certain period of time. All coffee makers need descaling An acrid and bitter taste often indicates that the coffee maker needs descaling. If the brewing time prolongs considerably or if the coffee maker is "sizzling", this is also a clear indication that the appliance needs descaling. The water in Denmark is generally hard, which means that the coffee maker needs regular descaling. We recommend descaling of the coffee maker at least once a month or when the appliance has made 25 brews. Switch off the appliance and let the solution stay in the appliance for about 15 minutes. Finally, let the appliance boil with clean water for at least 2 or 3 times. [. . . ] If the appliance is used for other purposes than intended, or is it not handled in accordance with the instruction manual, the full responsibility for any consequences will rest with the user. Any damages to the product or other things are not covered by the warranty. disposal of the appliance Legislation requires that all electrical and electronic equipment must be collected for reuse and recycling.
