ENGLISH ENG Attaching the stand (Only EA88**-ZA) 1 Front 4 Stand Base 2 Stand Cover 4EA M4 x L10 3 CAUTION yy When attaching the stand to the TV set, place the screen facing down on a cushioned table or flat surface to protect the screen from scratches. yy Make sure that the screws are inserted correctly and fastened securely. (If they are not fastened securely enough, the TV may tilt forward after being installed. ) Do not use too much force and over tighten the screws; otherwise screw may be damaged and not tighten correctly. 9EA M4 x L20 NOTE yy Remove the stand before installing the TV on a wall mount by performing the stand attachment in reverse. ASSEMBLING AND PREPARING 21 Assembling the AV Cover (Only EA98**) 1 Assemble the AV Cover as shown. ENGLISH ENG AV Cover (Only EA88**-ZA) 1 Attach the Velcro Tapes as shown. Velcro Tape 2 Assemble the AV Cover as shown. AV Cover 22 ASSEMBLING AND PREPARING Mounting on a table 1 Lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a table. --  eave a 10 cm (minimum) space from the L wall for proper ventilation. Securing the TV to a wall (Only EA88**-ZA) To use the desk-type stand safely, make sure to securely attach it to a wall. ENGLISH ENG 10 cm 10 cm m 10 c 10 cm 5 cm 10 cm 1 Insert and tighten the eye-bolts, or TV brackets and bolts on the back of the TV. -- If there are bolts inserted at the eye-bolts position, remove the bolts first. Match the location of the wall bracket and the eye-bolts on the rear of the TV. 3 Connect the eye-bolts and wall brackets tightly with a sturdy rope. Make sure to keep the rope horizontal with the flat surface. CAUTION 2 Connect the power cord to a wall outlet. yy Make sure that children do not climb on or hang on the TV. CAUTION yy Do not place the TV near or on sources of heat, as this may result in fire or other damage. NOTE yy Use a platform or cabinet that is strong and large enough to support the TV securely. You can obtain additional accessories from your local dealer. ASSEMBLING AND PREPARING 23 Mounting on a wall (Only EA88**-ZA) Attach an optional wall mount bracket at the rear of the TV carefully and install the wall mount bracket on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor. When you attach the TV to other building materials, please contact qualified personnel. LG recommends that wall mounting be performed by a qualified professional installer. CAUTION yy Disconnect the power first, and then move or install the TV. yy If you install the TV on a ceiling or slanted wall, it may fall and result in severe injury. Use an authorized LG wall mount and contact the local dealer or qualified personnel. yy Do not over tighten the screws as this may cause damage to the TV and void your warranty. Any damages or injuries by misuse or using an improper accessory are not covered by the warranty.
