Inserting a Tape To insert a tape into your TV/VCR Combination, hold it so that the windows on the tape face up, and the label of the tape faces away from the TV/VCR Combination. Gently place the tape in the cassette compartment and push it in slowly. Once it is in the compartment part-way, the TV/VCR Combination will pull the tape the rest of the way. You can insert a tape into your TV/VCR Combination even when it is turned off. If the tape has its erasure prevention tab removed, the TV/VCR Combination will turn on and begin playing the tape. Ejecting a tape To remove a tape from the compartment, press the STOP/EJECT button on the front panel or on the remote control. Grasp the cassette and remove the tape from the TV/VCR Combination. 18 Chapter 4 : Operating Your VCR Playing a Tape 1. To begin playing a tape, place it in the TV/VCR Combination's cassette compartment. If the erasure prevention tab has been removed, the tape will begin playing automatically.
