When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull on the plug, not the cable) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories. If you should leave the workplace, always switch the machine off or remove the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead). [. . . ] In order to reduce the acrylamide content of food containing starch (potatoes, cereals) the temperature during deep-fat frying should not exceed 170° C (or possibly 175° C). Furthermore, the frying time should be kept as short as possible and the food only fried until it turns golden yellow. Choose the right frying temperature and check the conditions of the food to be fried. A rule of thumb is that pre-fried foods require a higher temperature than raw foods. Do not carry or move the deep fryer if the oil or grease is still hot. When frying dough-like foods scrape off the excess dough and put the pieces carefully into the oil. If you should switch on your deep fat fryer by accident when there is no oil or fat in it, the overheating protection device will switch on automatically. If you use fat, divide it up into small pieces and place it on the floor of the deep frying vessel. Under no circumstances should you place the fat in the deep frying basket!Insert the plug into a 230 V, 50 Hz power socket and switch on the deep fat fryer using the POWER ON/OFF button (4). Once the set temperature has been reached, the HEATING control lamp (6) goes off. Open the lid and insert the basket with the items to be fried carefully into the recess. During the deep-frying process the HEATING control lamp switches on and off several times. This is normal and shows that the temperature is being thermostatically controlled and maintained. After the frying time has elapsed (frying times are to be found on the food packaging or in the recipe), open the lid carefully (as it is possible that hot steam will be released). Allow the oil to drain from the food that has been fried by hanging the deep-frying basket on the edge of the fat container with the help of the device on the basket. In order to switch the deep-fat fryer off, press the POWER ON/OFF button (4) and remove the mains plug from the socket. Wait in any case for 1 to 2 hours after use before using again to avoid burns.
