Pull out the water tank rinse and fill to the top mark (MAX) with fresh cold water. The tank can also be filled by pulling it out just far enough so you are able to fill in water with a jug. [. . . ] Please remember, Espresso has to be finer than regular percolator coffee. Insert the plug into a 230 V /50 Hz socket, installed according to existing regulations and with earth protection. Please fill fresh cold water into the tank and switch on the ON/OFF switch. As soon as water runs out the brew head, release the PUMP button, to stop the pump and wait until the readiness light comes on. Make sure the coffee is spread evenly and press lightly with a measuring / pressing spoon. Insert the filter into the brew head and turn the handle towards LOCK (the filter is properly locked in place, when the handle is positioned in the middle of the machine). When the readiness lamp lights up press the pump button and espresso start running into the cup(s). When the readiness lamp switches off, release the pump button to stop the procedure. After brewing please wait several seconds, before removing the filter. To empty the filter, please use the small special lever to hold the filter in place. To produce further espresso please refill the filter and wait until the readiness lamp switches on again and proceed as described above. The water tank, drip tray, drip tray cover, filter and filter-holder can be washed by hand in warm water with normal dishwashing liquids. In case the perforation of the filter is blocked please clean with a soft brush. This appliance should be de-scaled on a regular basis, depending on the frequency of use and the quality of your water (i.
