Sprint or MCI), bank by phone, or any other service that requires touchtone dialing from your cordless handset. Press TONE ( ) on the handset to change from pulse to tone mode temporarily when you are dialing. The TC-1000 remembers the last number you dialed. Every time you dial a new telephone number, the redial memory is updated with that new number. 1 2 Press TALK and wait for a dial tone. * TALK 1 2 3 4 Set the TONE/PULSE the base unit to Pulse. SWITCH at TONE PULSE Press REDIAL. REDIAL (PAUSE) Press TALK and wait for dial tone. (You dialed your call in pulse mode. ) TALK FLASH If you subscribe to a call waiting service and you receive another call while using the phone, press FLASH to answer the second call. PLAY AUTOMATIC ERASE (Tape Reset) The TC-1000 is designed to automatically record new messages over old ones. To automatically erase messages, DO NOT press SAVE (key 4) during message playback or within 7 seconds after the last message is heard. 3 DEF HANDSET YING MESSAGES 15 PAGE HANDSET VOLUME CONTROL Press VOLUME to change the volume level of the handset. Press VOLUME a fifth time and the sound level returns to normal. VOLUME HOLD SCREEN REMOTE TALK LO BATT MEMO CONV MESSAGE PLAY RETRIEVE MESSAGES FROM HANDSET You can play messages through the handset. HANDSET 14 PAGING, BATTERY & PLA PAGE PAGING THE HANDSET FROM THE BASE UNIT To page the handset from the base unit, the handset must be in the "Standby" mode (the TALK INDICATOR is not lit. ) LOW BATTERY INDICATOR LO BATT 1 2 Press PAGE on the base unit. PAGE When the battery pack needs recharging, the LO BATT INDICATOR (Low Battery) on the handset will flash. You may also notice a reduction in the quality of your cordless handset communications. Return the cordless handset to the base unit when the LO BATT INDICATOR is flashing. NOTE: The batteries can be recharged many times, but if you get a low battery indication even after 12-15 hours of charging, you should replace the battery pack. To cancel the page press PAGE.
