[. . . ] E CW-75 User's Guide · We recommend that you print on a disc* before you record anything on it. Printing on a disc that already has data recorded on it can cause the data to become corrupted. shall not be held liable for any loss or corruption of data on discs arising through the use of this printer. Be sure to read the Safety Precautions contained in this manual before trying to use the printer for the first time, and always keep this manual on hand for future reference. GUIDELINES LAID DOWN BY FCC RULES FOR USE OF THE UNIT IN THE U. S. A. [. . . ] Select the print pattern you want to use (page 31). To edit an existing label, select STORED DATA on the initial screen (pages 19, 48). To edit the label data you were working on the last time you were using the printer, select LAST DATA (pages 19, 48). 3. Select the text attributes you want. · Specify the font (page 43), select bold (page 45), and specify the text alignment (page 46). Print the label (page 51) and store it in memory (page 50), if you want. · Note that the LAST DATA option appears only if you were working on a label the last time you used the printer. E 30 Creating a New Label Use the following procedure when you want to create a new label from scratch, or when you want to continue with the label data you were working on the last time you had the printer turned on. To create a new label 1. Press [ to turn on the printer. · If you are turning the printer back on after using is previously, the initial screen may also include a LAST DATA item. See "Power On Recall" on page 19 for more information about this item. 2. Use the cursor keys to select NEW, and then press SET. Example · If you want to continue working with the data from your previous session, select LAST DATA instead of NEW. · Pressing SET displays a print pattern selection screen. I Label Formats The label format determines the types and positions of text and logo data for each block. There are a total of 24 different formats, which are divided among three groups: standard formats (FORMAT 1 through FORMAT 18), logo formats (LOGO 1 through LOGO 4), and auto formats (AUTO 1 and AUTO 2). After all input is complete, press SET. · This displays a screen, which you can use to print the label (page 51) or save the label (page 50). · You can also exit your label making session by using the cursor keys to select EXIT, and then pressing SET twice. · See "Label Formats" on page 64 for details about all the label formats that are available. E 32 Part 5 - Inputting Label Data This part of the manual tells you how to input text (letters, numbers, or symbols), logos, and illustrations and user characters into a label. For information on using other fonts, styles, and characters sizes, see "Controlling the Appearance of your Text" on page 43. Display Symbols and Indicators Before getting into actual input, you should first become acquainted with the symbols and indicators used on the label data input screen. 1 Function/Shift/Code indicator appears when you press the FUNCTION key. Pressing a key while this indicator is on the display causes the function marked above that key to be executed. While this indicator is on the display, the keyboard is shifted, so the letter keys input the opposite of their current upper-case/lowercase setting. The number keys input the punctuation symbols marked in the upper right corners of the keys. [. . . ] Replace the batteries or switch to optionally available AC adaptor power (pages 15 and 17). Adjust the print density (page 55). E 60 Problem Color of printed text is different from that of the ink ribbon cassette. Cause The color of the disc you are printing on is combining with the color of the ink ribbon to produce a different color. Battery power is low. Action Print on light colored discs and use a dark color ink ribbon cassette. Cannot input text. Ink ribbon cassette is used up. You pressed the FUNCTION key, and the printer is waiting for input of a function command. Correctly position the disc using the positioning guide and guidelines (page 54). [. . . ]
