If the answer is yes, the application waits until the end of the first milling operation and then starts milling automatically. In the meantime, you can design additional restorations and place them in the queue. NOTE The number of queued applications is limited only by the amount of storage space available (on the PC and graphics card). If a restoration no longer fits into the remaining block, the corresponding milling operation will not be started. i Fig. 6-11 Selecting a block for stack milling i CAUTION With VITA YZ, breakage may occur following tapping in rare cases. CAUTION With VITA In-Ceram and VITA YZ, the work may be destroyed in rare cases if it comes under the gearing while the next restoration is being milled. 112 59 76 571 D 3344 D 3344. 208. 06. 03. 02 03. 2005 6. 5 Milling a test piece 6. 5 Milling a test piece You can use the inLab 3D software to mill test pieces, e. g. Performing the milling process 1. Select "VITA YZ [Flip-Block], YZ 55" in the block selection dialog box and insert a flip block. When prompted by the software, widely open the setscrew and remove the partially milled block CAREFULLY from the milling unit. This reduces the load on the restoration during the rest of the milling process. If the database connection is used, the PDATA folder contains a CEREC subfolder (created during installation of the CARVER database). Since a unique patient number is assigned to each patient in the database, no patient names are used here under CEREC; instead, consecutively numbered folders (e. g. The tooth folders and restoration files can be found below them. 59 76 571 D 3344 D 3344. 208. 06. 03. 02 03. 2005 117 7 Managing/archiving data Consistency check If the database connection is active, a consistency check will be performed when the CEREC application is started. If the list of restorations for a specific patient is displayed for loading or deletion, corrupt restoration files will automatically be recognized and suggested for deletion. This mechanism always remains active, regardless of whether a database is connected or not. 118 59 76 571 D 3344 D 3344. 208. 06. 03. 02 03. 2005 8 Restoration types and design techniques 8 Restoration types and design techniques This chapter is divided into the following sections: In this chapter n , , Creating a new restoration" on page 120 n , , Overview of the restoration types and design techniques" on page 121 n , , Design technique: FrameWork" on page 123 n , , Design technique: WaxUp" on page 131 n , , Dental database design technique" on page 135 n , , Correlation design technique" on page 162 n , , Replication design technique" on page 181 n , , Quadrant restoration" on page 187 59 76 571 D 3344 D 3344. 208. 06. 03. 02 03. 2005 119 8 Restoration types and design techniques 8. 1 Creating a new restoration 1.
