It flashes to inform of any new calls or messages in the Call Journal (for those who have subscribed to the CLIP service) or when a message has been left in the "voicemail" if you are connected to a private ALCATEL telephone system (equipped with a message service). ON HOOK DIALLING The TEMPORIS 32 enables you to dial without lifting the handset. The communication is monitored during the whole establishment phase. 3 4 Adjust the sound level using the keys End the communication by pressing the or and . key. 5 Lift the handset as soon as you hear your correspondent. Making a call can also be carried out in other ways: · By pressing the key and then dialling the number of the correspondent. · By lifting up the handset and dialling the correspondent's number. · By dialling the correspondent's number and then lifting up the handset. · By dialling the correspondent's number and then pressing the key. 8 Temporis_32_uk. qxd 03/08/01 11:47 Page 9 TO DIAL USING A MEMORY · CALLING FROM THE DIRECTORY 1 Press the " key. $ ALICE 2 There are two ways to find a correspondent's number: · Use the and keys to scroll the names contained in the memory until the name of your correspondent appears on the display. · You can also type the first letter of the correspondent on the keyboard which will result in the names of the correspondents beginning with that letter being displayed. 3 Press the key to make a call - or press the key - or lift the handset. · USING DIRECT MEMORY 1 2 3 Just press the chosen direct memory. Pick up the handset when your correspondent answers. RECEIVING A CALL To answer the call, just lift the handset.
