Front panel audio connector (10-1 pin AUDIO1) This is an interface for the Intel front panel audio cable that allow convenient connection and control of audio devices. Connect the fan cables to the fan connectors on the motherboard, making sure that the black wire of each cable matches the ground pin of the connector. Do not forget to connect the fan cables to the fan connectors. Lack of sufficient air flow within the system may damage the motherboard components. DO NOT place jumper caps on the fan connectors! The module has two USB 2. 0 ports that support the next generation USB peripherals such as high resolution cameras, scanners, and printers. Internal audio connectors (4-pin CD1, AUX1, MODEM1) These connectors allow you to receive stereo audio input from sound sources such as a CD-ROM, TV tuner, or MPEG card. The MODEM connector allows the onboard audio to interfeace with a voice modem card with a similar connector. It also allows the sharing of mono_in (such as a phone) and a mono_out (such as a speaker) between the audio and a voice modem card.
