In addition energy consumption will be increased if the heat exchanger unit is covered with fluff. 0 Open the door. 0 Press on the two tabs to unlatch and take off the removable plinth. 0 Turn the two securing disks through a quarter turn each outwards. 0 Pull the heat exchanger out of the base by the handle. 0 Clean the heat exchanger, best with a brush or by rinsing with a hand-held shower head. The water removal slits on the rear of the heat exchanger must be free too. 1 Important!0 Reinsert and push in and turn each one of the two securing disks through a quarter turn inwards. The words "top ­ oben ­ en haut" must be at the top. See the section "Drying, cleaning the heat exchanger". 26 Programming possibilities The electronic control system of your laundry dryer provides you with the possibility to adapt some functions of the dryer permanently to your requirements. Purpose "Laundry protection": If you want to "lock" the selected drying programme (the selected programme setting cannot be changed during the drying process with the programme selector or with the SPECIAL CARE or QUICK button): When "Washing Protection" is enabled, the drying programme always runs at reduced heater power (SPECIAL CARE Function). Execution When a drying programme is set with the programme selector and the START button has been pressed: - Hold the SPECIAL CARE button depressed for five seconds. The programme execution display flashes for five seconds and the laundry protection is then switched on. If an attempt is nevertheless made to change the programme setting, the programme execution display flashes; after pressing the SPECIAL CARE or QUICK button, it flashes for five seconds; on turning the programme selector it flashes until the programme selector is returned to the initial setting. To cancel the laundry protection: - Hold the SPECIAL CARE button depressed for five seconds. The programme run indicator flashes for five seconds, then it is static for five seconds; laundry protection is cancelled. 1) Ensure that the programme selector is not in the LIGHT or OFF position. [. . . ] In the event of having to change the fuse in the plug supplied, a 13amp ASTA approved (BS 1362) fuse must be used. The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code: Green and Yellow : Earth Blue : Neutral Brown : Live Green & Yellow Blue Brown Cord Clamp 38 Electrical Connection · The wire coloured green and yellow must be connected to the terminal marked with the letter "E" or by the earth symbol or coloured green and yellow · The wire coloured blue must be connected to the terminal "N" or coloured black. · The wire coloured brown must be connected to the terminal marked "L" or coloured red. · Upon completion there must not be cut, or stray strands of wire present and the cord clamp must be secure over the outer sheath. 1 WARNING: A cut off plug inserted into a 13 amp socket is a serious safety (shock) hazard.
