You operate the hob with the knobs of the oven and control panel of the hob. the Operating Instructions chapter for the oven tells how to operate the knobs. You can use the timer as a Minute Minder while cooking zones do not operate. When you change the heat settings, the function stops and the displays show the new heat settings.
