If you made some changes in the CMOS settings (BIOS) and your system fails to boot, do the following: 1. This enhances system performance because DRAM access time is faster than ROM. Before you set these parameters, you need to know the specific addresses of that ROM code. If you do not know this information, enable all the ROM shadow settings. However, changing these parameters could make your system unstable if the setting is not correct for your system configuration. The table below describes the parameters found in this menu. Options SDRAM 10ns SDRAM 8ns Normal Medium Fast Turbo SDRAM Cycle Length 3 2 50 Chapter 3 Award BIOS Parameter DRAM Clock Description Please refer to the table on page 51 to set the DRAM clock. Options CPU CLK CPU CLK +33 CPU CLK -33 Memory Hole This option lets you reserve system memory area for special ISA cards. The chipset accesses code/data of these areas from the ISA bus directly. Lets you configure the hard disk drive connected to the slave port of IDE channel 2. Enabling this item allows you to cache the system BIOS to further enhance system performance. If you are not sure which AGP mode to choose, simply select the highest AGP mode (4x) available. This item lets you determine the effective size of the AGP Graphic Aperture.
